About

Hi, I’m Nick and Welcome to Autistic N!ck.

I set up this blog as I wanted to help educate people on what life is really like living with Autism.

My aim is to increase public awareness of common issues faced by those on the autism spectrum

And I also hope that through my own lived experience with Autism that I can help dispel the misconceptions that surround autistic people in the wider community. I also hope this blog can help give support to others going through a similar situation.

So a little bit about me. I’m 46 years old and I live at home with my mum and sister. We moved to Australia just over 10 years ago from the UK as my parents wanted a better life for the three of us (myself, my younger brother and my sister).

I was diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum just over 6 years ago and that diagnosis finally allowed me to accept and understand myself.

You can read more about my Autism story here.

I enjoy listening to Podcasts and music and I love a good TV drama. I’m extremely passionate about writing, mainly TV scripts for dramas and comedies.
